Paget Cave and Cliffs

Here's some pics from a hike to Paget Cave and Cliffs on the beautiful Island of Guam.
There was about a 40 - 45 foot drop from the cliff where we jumped off of to the ocean below! After watching other people jump and seeing them survive, I decided to take the plunge! :)
After swimming in the ocean, we decided to stop by Paget Cave on the way back. The water was cold but refreshing.

My, aren't you the brave soul! Glad you didn't go for the backflip though-wow! Great shot of it, though!
The cliffs/water look so beautiful-wish we could visit you!

These are just beautiful shots! Amazing that you captured the midair flip so well.
The cave water looks like it's cold. But then again it doesn't get that cold in Guam, huh? I wish we could visit too!

I agree, you are brave for even jumping from that height. What an experience you are having.

I have a confession to make! Most of the photos of Paget Cave and Ciffs I didn't take myself. One of the staff members at our school is an experienced photographer and has a nice camera, so he caught the backflip and the other impressive shots!
The backflip was done by one of the teens at our school--an atheletic, fearless daredevil!

Some people leaned too far forward or backward and ended up landing partially on their back or stomatch and had the red marks and bruises to prove it! One teacher broke a rib doing that last year. Ouch. Some hit the water with their arms out and had some red marks from that. I just made sure I jumped in straight with my arms tucked to my side and I was fine--it didn't hurt a bit!
At first I wasn't going to jump, but when almost everyone went, I thought I might as well!
Thanks,
Chuck

Chuck,
Great pics!
I live over at Pago Bay.
What date did you go? Your blog site said November 2nd but I wanted to make sure. I just yesterday and it was like a washing machine; much worse than my first time there but nothing like the calm waters you experienced. When is the best month and time to go? Can you find out how high the swells and waves are before going down to make sure it will be safe to go? I love Pagat as a destination but I would like to be able to get my family in the water and it won't happen with the surf that we saw yesterday.
Thanks for the help.
